Deji reveals he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao after facing Floyd Mayweather Jr in exhibition bout

Although he was stopped by Floyd Mayweather Jr, there seems to be no end to Deji’s boxing ambitions.

On Sunday night, self-proclaimed “TBE” (The Best Ever), Mayweather Jr, stopped YouTuber Deji inside six rounds of their Global Titans-promoted exhibition bout.

As expected, Mayweather Jr looked completely dominant as he stopped Deji from a distance

That’s four out of five defeats for Deji so far in his boxing career, with his lone win by knockout, but his poor in-ring record hasn’t deterred him from the sport.

As for his next fight, Deji revealed he wants to face another of boxing’s greats.

“At this point, nobody can stop me,” Deji said at the post-fight press conference.

“I’m ready to fight Manny Pacquiao or anyone.”

A reporter then asked if Deji would like to return to KSI’s boxing card in January, but it looks like he wants to step out of his older brother’s shadow and go in his own direction.

“I mean, we’ll see, but I’m with Global Titans and can’t wait to see what they do next.”

Facing just one big in Mayweather Jr wasn't enough for Deji as he now also wants to fight Pacquiao

That being said, it seems more likely that we’ll see Pacquiao in the ring with Mayweather Jr rather than Deji, as Global Titans CEO Uday Singh has revealed he has already started negotiations between the pair for a rematch.

“We’re already working on Floyd and Manny Pacquiao,” Singh told SunSport.

“And the announcement could be made as early as December for a big fight next year for Floyd and Manny Pacquiao. A revenge, not an exhibition.

Although before too much excitement builds for this fight, it’s also worth noting that Mayweather Jr himself called these comments from Singh “fake”, “false” and “fake news”.
