Colorado coach Deion Sanders, who said after Saturday’s game that he he is in pain and has more blood clots in his footsaid today that he will have surgery but will not miss any training time.
Sanders told reporters he was scheduled to undergo a four-hour surgery, but was confident he would return to work immediately afterward.
“I’m having surgery today. Praying I’ll be back tomorrow because I won’t miss practice, I don’t plan on doing it. But that’s how it is, we found what we found, we knew what it was,” Sanders said.
Sanders was in good spirits, joking that he had never been high in his life, but was looking forward to feeling like Snoop Dogg under anesthesia.
“Everything will be fine,” Sanders said. “Thank you and God bless.”
