Death Stranding 2: On the beach is an absolutely exceptional game, and we are sure that many of you spend your weekend exploring Australia-perhaps with our practice Death Stranding 2 guide by your side.
But not everyone has an excellent first weekend with the game.
A certain number of players have complained that the card screen of the version causes overheating of their PS5 consoles.
A fairly active Reddit Post reports the problem:
I played the game on a basic PS5 and overall, it works very well – the graphics are superb and I had no problem during the ordinary gameplay. But as soon as I arouse the game and the card screen appears, the fan suddenly goes to overdrive and I get an overheating warning. It’s strange because everything else goes well, even during long gameplay sessions. But as I raise the card and start planning a route, the fan suddenly goes crazy and I receive an overheating warning. I have just cleaned the console recently and it is in a well -ventilated place, so the air flow should not be a problem.
A new patch has been published recently, but it does not seem to have solved the problem, and this particular user does not seem to be alone.
“I have exactly the same problem,” said a player. “I use an original PS5 digital version. Fans start to shout only on the menu of the card.”
It seems that the problem is isolated from the PS5 database, the PS5 PRO summarizing better. It should perhaps be mentioned that time has been particularly hot in parts of Europe and America, so it could also be a factor.
But it is possible that there is a kind of memory leak or another problem here. The menu seems to work with a frequency of unlocked images, which could be what could give fans a kick in overdrive and cause overheating of the console.
A user suggested sending a detailed bug report to the developer Kojima Productions, so he has more information to work and can quickly deliver a fix. It looks like an intelligent idea for us.
Do you have problems with the game? Does everything work as for you or do you also encounter overheating problems? Cool in the comments section below.
