Death of the nurse attacked with a knife at the hospital in Reims – France

On Monday, a nurse and a medical secretary were attacked at Reims hospital in the early afternoon by a 59-year-old man. The nurse, aged 37 and whose vital prognosis was engaged, died, announced this Tuesday morning, the Minister of Health, François Braun.

“I have just learned with immense sadness of the death of Carène, a 38-year-old nurse who was violently attacked yesterday at the Reims University Hospital”, wrote the minister on social networks, assuring that his thoughts “are with his loved ones, his colleagues, as well as to all the hospital teams bereaved this morning”.

The Reims prosecutor confirmed the death, stating that the facts had been reclassified as “assassination” and “attempted assassination”.
