The body of a dead baby was found Sunday evening on the campus of the University of Tampa.

The station aired footage showing the Tampa police forensic unit examining the scene near the dormitory, located in the center of campus.
Students received a notification from school officials informing them that an investigation was underway at McKay Hall and that they should avoid the area.
The baby’s cause of death has not been made public. “The circumstances surrounding the baby’s death are under investigation,” a brief police statement said.
Officials also said there was no major threat to the public.
