Hostages:

In an operation overnight (Wednesday to Thursday), the FDI recovered the bodies of Judy Weinstein-Haggai (70) and Gadi Haggai (72), from the region of Khan Younis in Gaza.

Judy and Gadi were killed on October 7 in Kibbutz Nir Oz, and their bodies were taken hostage to Gaza. They were murdered and detained by the terrorist group of Kataeb al -Mujahideen – the same terrorist group that murdered Shiri Bibas and his two babies.

The FDI found the bodies of Judy and Gadi after a terrorist was captured and questioned in Gaza, and gave the information. No other hostage was at risk during the rescue operation.

Gaza:

Thank you GD, no fallen soldier was announced today!

Five divisions continue to operate in Gaza: Division 162 operates in the north of Gaza, division 252 pushing in the city of Gaza and in the netzarim corridor. Division 36 is in southern Khan Younis, while division 98 is in the north and in the center of Khan Younis. The Gaza Division (143) holds the Rafah region, the Morag corridor and the buffer area, while continuing to erase and extend the areas.

Over the past two days, the forces have destroyed thousands of terrorist infrastructures, including many tunnels and entries which were previously unknown or abandoned.

Significant progress has been made in Khan Younis on both sides, but in particular by division 98, which entered the heart of the city, giving them strategic control.

Among the many air strikes today, the FDIs have targeted a command and control center for the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ), which was in the courtyard of the Al-Ma’amdani hospital in the Gaza City region.

Before the attack, measures were taken to reduce the chances of harming civilians, including the use of precision weapons, air observations and additional information.

Israel armed Yasser Abu Shabab (the chief of the clan which I reported yesterday – be sure to go back and read it if you have not yet done so). Originally, the FDI intended to keep this secret, so as not to harm the operation, but the Israeli politician, Avigdor Liberman, released the secret today.

Israel provided Abu Shabab’s militia with Kalashnikov rifles that had been taken from Hamas. The militia operates in Rafah, in an area under FDI control.

The FDI uses Abu Shabab to help fight Hamas, and will soon have its militia which prevents Hamas from new humanitarian zones in Rafah. In the short term, ABU Shabab’s men can do a more effective (and ruthless) job to keep Hamas away from Rafah, which means that fewer FDI soldiers lives in danger.

It was the long term that increased controversy in Israel. On the one hand, as clans like shabab are less focused on ideology, they can be easier to work with Israel, and less likely to attack Israel is not suitable for their interests. However, once armed and autonomous, there is no doubt about what the little militia can transform, and it could be very difficult to bring them back.

I24 news reports that an unidentified Arab county is involved in the formation of the Shabab militia and that the Palestinian authority maintains direct links with it.

Humanitarian aid:

88 trucks carrying humanitarian aid entered the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom crossing after the inspection yesterday, (June 4). The trucks carried food aid and flour for bakeries.

Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) has opened its fourth distribution center today. There are now three in Rafah and one in the center of Gaza. More than 49,700 food boxes have been distributed today, which is equivalent to nearly 1.5 million meals.

This means that nearly 50,000 Gazans presented themselves today to receive a food box, despite the threats of Hamas, and a statement that anyone who goes to GHF sites will be qualified as a traitor.
**

The FDI has published an audio recording of a telephone call, in which a Gazan said to the IDF Cogat division that Hamas draws on civilians who try to receive the help of the GHF.

In the telephone call, the Gazan testifies: “Those who drew were members of Hamas, they do not want people to receive help, they want to overthrow the plan so that the help comes back to them, so that they can fly, they have completely gone bankrupt.”

Yemen:

Around 9:50 p.m., the sirens were activated in the extended region of Jerusalem, due to a ballistic missile launched by the Houthis in Yemen.

The missile was, thank you GD, successfully.

Iran:

The Wall Street Journal reported that Iran had ordered thousands of tonnes of missile materials from China. Expeditions, which include tons of ammonium perchlorate (missile proprietary), should arrive in Iran in the coming months. Materials could support the production of up to 800 ballistic missiles, some of which are sent to Houthis in Yemen and other Iranian allies.

According to an Axios report, Israel assured the White House that it would not attack Iran’s nuclear installations until Trump signals that talks with Iran failed.

Lebanon:

After issuing evacuation warnings, the FDI hit several targets in the Dahiya district in Beirut and southern Lebanon.

The FDI targeted the Hezbollah (127) air unit, which was responsible for more than a thousand drone attacks against Israel during the war.

The targets were underground production sites, where Hezbollah worked to make thousands of UAVs to attack and spy on Israel. Production was sponsored and led by Iran. The FDI identifies that Hezbollah engineers went to Iran for training to make drones-even after the cease-fire agreement has been affected.

According to the cease-fire agreement between Lebanon and Israel, Hezbollah is not authorized to act to rearm, and the Lebanese armed forces (Laf) must stop them if they try to do so. While Hezbollah flagrantly raped the agreement, the Laf made no significant effort to stop them.

The Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz said that Israel will continue to enforce the cease-fire agreement, while holding the Lebanese government fully responsible for any terrorist activity on their territory which targets Israel.

Other:

French Prime Minister Emmanuel Macron continues to threaten Israel and now says that France will decide in the coming days to take concrete measures against Israel.

Meanwhile, German Minister for Foreign Affairs Johann Wadephul said an opposite opinion and said the European Union should respect its cooperation agreement with Israel. He said the recognition of a Palestinian state would send the bad message at the time.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs added that Germany will continue to provide weapons to Israel.

Meanwhile, Israel and Germany are finalizing a historic agreement of $ 4.3 billion to provide Germany with the Arrow 3 anti -missile defense system.
