David Arquette and Daniella choose Tarantino star

EXCLUSIVE: Danny A. Abeckaser (Bardejov) is about to direct his next feature film, The perfect bet, which is planned to be filmed in Georgia (formerly part of Russia). The film will star David Arquette, Abeckaser and Daniella Pick Tarantino, wife of director Quentin Tarantino. The film is produced by Abeckaser under the auspices of 2B Films, in partnership with Yoav Gross and Rinati Rokach.

Written by Kosta Kondilopoulos, The perfect bet follows two gamblers who get out of prison and decide to open an illegal casino. Pick Tarantino should play the girlfriend of one of the two protagonists, who finds himself involved in the mafia throughout the film.

Abeckaser said: “Working with Arquette is always a no-brainer, he adapts to any character and brings vulnerability and sympathy even when you’re supposed to dislike them. Daniella was extremely impressive during all of our screen tests and I’m excited to get on set and see her really immerse herself in the role. This will be a pivotal role for her and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to direct this film.

The director’s recently completed crime drama mafia cops also starring Arquette alongside Kevin Connolly, Jeremy Luke and Joseph Russ, has just sold out its distribution in more than 12 regions of the Cannes Film Festival’s international buyers’ market, from South America to Europe to the Middle East last week and will be released in the fall in the United States and Canada through Lionsgate’s Grindstone Entertainment.
