Dave Portnoy congratulated the approach of Donald Trump to manage the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, despite their furious confrontation at the White House last week.

Now appearing on The Will Cain Show by Fox News Channel, the founder of Barstool Sports, Portnoy – who voted for Trump in the last elections – estimated that the president manages the potential for the Ukrainian -Russia peace talks in the right way.
“It’s a hard area,” said Portnoy on Fox on Wednesday. “Anyone who waged war in Ukraine is in black and white, I don’t buy that.

“People die, it’s a war in progress, but I tend to be America first. And I have the impression that this is what Trump said – “What, are we going to do this for the next 10 years? We will give them money and be deadlocked?”
“Because it does not seem that Russia retires and Ukraine, to their credit, does not give up their country.
“So what is the solution and what is the advantage if you want to bring Putin to the table?” Zelensky is sitting there and just calling him every word from the book?
“You have to bring these two guys to the table and, hope, put an end to that, end the loss of life and send them money.”
The day after Trump’s oval dispute and Zelensky, Portnoy shared a seven -minute video on the incident, describing it as “the most surreal thing I have ever seen in politics”.

“As usual with problems like this, it’s a real gray area,” he continued. “One of the most difficult things to do throughout politics is to decide when the United States should intervene with money, troops, whatever. Portnoy recognized that the country and the people of Zelenksy “were ravaged by Russia” and admitted that “it is difficult not to have a certain degree of compassion for Ukraine”.
