Christina Vithoulkas, the first Australian woman, revealed how she found love after a shocking motorcycle accident six and a half years ago changed her life forever.
VITHOULKAS visited her family in South Australia in 2018 when she left her dirt bike while trying a blow, leaving her with a lacerated spleen, a fractured skull, perforated lungs, broken ribs and a cut spinal cord.
Her injuries were so bad that she was told later that she would never walk again.
And although her life has radically changed since the accident, she has sworn not to let her prevent her from living her life fully.
The 30 -year -old young woman reappeared how to do everything in her daily life – including the adrenaline rush by deriving sustained cars – and she even found love.
“I am so grateful for the place where my life took me. I am in a relationship of two and a half years with the man of my dreams ” told News News Corp.

“It is too good to be true and I am so grateful that our paths are crossed.

“It is on the same wavelength as I do not want children in the immediate future and it was one of the first things we discussed during our first appointment, because I think it’s important and people are waiting for too long to have uncomfortable conversations.
“Trying to juggle handicap and children at the same time would not be something that I would like to jump anytime soon.
“I am only 30 years old, so I have so much time to determine what is in front of me.
Vithoulkas also found joy in motorsport – this time in drift.
Drift is a sport where the driver intentionally exceeds, with a loss of traction, while maintaining the control and driving of the car through a corner or a tour
VTHOULKAS is competing in a modified car which has controls by hand instead of a brake and a pocket on the ground.

The former Freestyle motocross rider has since found joy in car sports – this time in the drift

“This is why I love to derive so much … I cannot think of another sport that a paralyzed person can do where we are not separated from the unabled community,” she told ABC.
“If the drift became an Olympic sport, I would not need to be at the Paralympic Games.
“I think that’s why I love her so much, because when I’m there, I feel normal. It’s probably not a good word to say, but that’s exactly what I feel.
“I feel like I was not disadvantaged.
VITHOULKAS now helps collect funds for the wings for the life of the world – 100% of the entry costs of the race being given to vertebral research.
“It is not so much a question of finding a remedy for me personally, but the thousands of people around the world whose life would change considerably for the best if they could walk again,” she said.
“I love this run, Walk and Roll event.
“It is not something for which I necessarily train as a runner in a wheelchair, I go and do my best and I think it’s the great thing about it.
“It’s you against you. You can take it seriously or you can just go and have fun with your friends and family.
The Wings for Life World Run takes place on May 4.
