Daniel Dunbar resigned from his post as a basketball coach for boys at Orange Lutheran, school announced on Monday.
He trained the throws for six seasons. They qualified for the qualifiers for the southern CIF section during four of these seasons.
During the 2022-23 season, Orange Lutheran qualified for the CIF-SS Division 2AA championship match and in the final of Southern California Regional II.
Dunbar, who played Orange Lutheran, said in a press release shared with the media: “After 20 incredible years to be part of the Orange Lutheran basketball program – first as a player, then as a coach – I made the difficult decision to resign as a chief traction to focus on my family.”
Orange Lutheran this last season finished 14-14 in total and went 2-8 in the Trinity League. The throws did not qualify for the playoffs.
