‘Dancing With the Stars’ Talent Cheryl Burke Warns That ‘Many Celebrities and Professionals Develop Feelings for Each Other’

It is said that dance is the vertical expression of a horizontal desire. Now the old Dancing with the stars pro Cheryl Burke admitted it was true.

Burke ended her 26 seasons on the ABC dance competition in 2022. She now admits it DWTS podcast that she had three “shows” during her time on the show.

“It’s an arranged marriage,” she told guest Dave Quinn. A People editor-in-chief. “And it’s black and white. You either love yourself or you really hate yourself.

The demanding rehearsal schedule forces the professional and celebrity couples to spend a “crazy” amount of time together.

“You don’t say, ‘Oh yeah, he’s cute.’ Like, no, no, I either like you or I don’t like you because you’re constantly (together) eight hours a day, seven days a week,” Burke said. “That’s crazy. For three months?”

“And you’re vulnerable,” she added.

Burke said a former famous contestant admitted he had a crush on his professional partner. Both were married. Nothing happened between the two men, but Burke said suspicions that they were having an affair extended to the celebrity’s family.

“It’s so intimate and you’re stuck with this person,” Burke said. “You better at least try to make this work.”

“You get closer in so many ways,” she continued. “These celebrities are so vulnerable because to be successful you have to take everything apart. And that alone? I bet most of these married celebrities have never done this with their wives.

“Be single if you’re on ‘Dancing with the Stars.’ That’s all I’m saying,” Burke said.

Burke recalled that she tried to pursue a relationship with one of her partners after the series ended, but “it just wasn’t going to happen.”

When asked if she had fallen in love with any of her partners, Burke responded that her displays were based on “lust.”

“It’s not love, is it?” » said Burke. “It is at this moment. Then you’re like, “Wait a second, how’s this person doing, like in the real world?” »
