The Lions coach, Dan Campbell, says that Tash’s push of the Eagles must be stopped by the opposite defenses, and not by a change in the NFL rules book.
Campbell was requested at the League meeting if Tush’s push should remain legal, and he clearly said he didn’t think it’s just a rule designed to prevent a successful team that she had designed.
“I am from school that they found something and it is up to everyone to stop it. So I’m a hard yes,” said Campbell.
Campbell said that his own team did not intend to use TUSH’s thrust, but that does not mean that other teams that can do it effectively should not be allowed to do so.
“We are not directing that. Jared Goff, that does not mean that we are not going to the Sneak quarter, but we don’t do that,” said Campbell.
The Eagles do it and do it well, and Campbell thinks that the way to stop them is on the ground and not by a vote during a meeting of the owners.
