The Milwaukee Bucks star, Damian Lillard, will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering from a torn Achilles.
According to the initiate of the NBA Chris Haynes, Lillard is in “good humor” and is “motivated to attack his rehabilitation”:
The availability of Lillard for the beginning of 2025-2026 is now in doubt due to the severity of the injury.
In match 4 of the first round match of the Bucks against the Indiana Pacers, Lillard fell in the first quarter and had to be helped out of the field. Shortly after undergoing the injury, Haynes reported that Lillard was feared to have torn his Achilles.
The injury intervened after recovering his diagnosis of deep venous thrombosis in March which forced him to miss the last month of the season and forced her to take blood medication.
According to Charania, doctors “told Bucks officials that Lillard’s recovery speed had never been seen before, but this happened due to early treatment, detection and specialists who work on him before a formal diagnosis.”
Lillard was naturally not his typical self on his return from the blood clot. He collected 14 points and seven passes in match 2 before winning only seven points in match 3. Before going into match 4, Lillard had only played six minutes.
After the release of Lillard, the Bucks lost 26 points, 129-103.
Lillard’s time in Milwaukee has not gone as he would have liked it so far. Although he had a pair of regular regular seasons, he and the Bucks faced an outing in the first round a year ago and are at a defeat of the same fate.
