The defending world champion Gukesh Domomilju said that it was possible to go beyond the highest Elo note ever made in failures, the file of which is currently belonging to the world n ° 1 Magnus Carlsen. Gukesh, however, added that it would be “very difficult” for him or any other player to achieve the feat in the near future.

Carlsen, who has been the best classified player in the world since 2011, had obtained a cutting -edge note of 2,882 in May 2014, breaking the 2851 record that the Soviet and Russian legend Garry Kasparov had previously established in 1999.

The Norwegian chess icon had achieved the feat shortly after defeating the Indian legend Viswanathan Anandand in the world failure championship for the second consecutive time, winning the second of its five world championships.

“I think it’s possible,” said Gukesh on the touch of the Grand Chelem tour of Freestyle chess in Weissenhaus, Germany, where he finished eighth disappointing after failing a single match.

“But I also understand that it is very difficult, especially since the notes have generally, compared to a few years, were quite weak at the top. So maybe in a few more years, it is possible but at the moment in the near future, that it is not so likely, “he added.

The 18 -year -old is currently third in the world chess ranking with a note of 2787, in addition to being the current leading Indian. Arjun Erigaisi (2776) and R Praggnanandhaa (2758) are the other Indians currently in the top 10, classified fifth and seventh respectively.

GUKESH, however, has not yet obtained the highest point of an Indian player, whose file still belongs to Anand (2817 produced in March 2011). Anand is currently joint and eighth in the list of players of all time with a highest rush note.

Erigaisi (2801) had recently only become the second Indian of the 2800 club, after having achieved the feat as recently as December.
