A crane crowned in Eastern Africa who escaped from a zoo from the state of Washington was found a few days after being on the LAM, walking in the streets of the city and dragged with a group of “blue herons”, said officials.
Managers of the Cougar Mountain Zoo have documented “Alice” Adventures Out In Wonderland, Washington, on social networks, nicknamed their “Curious” fauna.
Alice made her way outside the zoo on May 21 and was last seen in the state park of Lake Sammamish. On that day, the managers of the zoo posted: “Our team has eyes on it at the state park of Lake Sammamish. If you see it, do not approach.”

The observers concerned called the dedicated telephone line of the zoo to report the observations of the animals. She was seen walking in the streets of the neighborhood near Issaquah, Washington. The next day, it was reported that the crane flew to the east and was seen for the last time on the south-eastern bank of Lake Sammamish state park, then flew to the launch of the boat.
Late in the afternoon on May 22, the Zoo officials posted: “It is believed that the crane could hang around with a group of large blue herons in the region of the state park of Lake Sammamish.”
The subscribers responded to the missive with promises of help and competitive comments. A poster wrote: “I hope it has a hot summer summer. Screw a cage and a zoo.”

Friday evening, a resident of the community called to point out that the crane was spotted “in a house near Peregrine Point”. Then, a resident of Lake Sammamish spotted Alice in their courtyard along the seafront and quickly contacted the zoo. The zoo told CBS News that their team was nearby and that the additional staff and volunteers came to help recover the bird.
“Alice was slowly recovered at 11:57 p.m. without incident,” said the Zoo at CBS News. “She is now back at the zoo, under the supervision of our staff and our veterinarian, and will be closely monitored after her trip. Her linked partner, Hatter, welcomed her house!”
The Cougar Mountain Zoo was created in 1972, and its main objective is on endangered species and the promotion of educational conservation.
