The deadlines stimulate the action – just ask Garrett Crochet and the Boston Red Sox.
The hook is richer partly because it has established a deadline for negotiations with its new team, but given the talent and the potential it presents, the Red Sox were the hell to find a way to do something. Thus, while Crochet insisted that he would not negotiate beyond the opening day, he officially signed a six -year contract extension Tuesday – almost a week after the start of the 2025 season.
This hook and the Red Sox could find common ground on an agreement even after the self-imposed deadline for the hook testifies to all those involved. It certainly resembles the kind of agreement that will benefit the two parties, but there were times when doubt slipped into the head of the director of Baseball Craig Breslow while he and the hook camp negotiated.
“These conversations have lasted for months now,” Breslow revealed in the last episode of the Podcast “310 on the left” of Nesn, adding: “There were times when we had the impression that we were very close and the moments when we had the impression of being separated for miles.”
The good news for the two parties is that they were able to get close enough to continue the negotiations even after the hook launched its first field in the regular season in a Boston uniform after an exchange of blockbuster offset with the White Sox.

“Conversations have always been respectful and productive,” said Breslow, revealing that the hook was impressed by the organization, by Boston and the long -term future of the Red Sox.
The deadline is looming, however.
“Approaching the opening day, I was not convinced that there was an agreement to have, at least in this conversation tour,” said Breslow.
“… The two parties were ready to deposit the conversations, except for another return to negotiation (table). It is starting to take a more realistic look at the positions and gives each side a chance to take a look behind the curtain and to say” where can we do it? “”

In the end, this allowed both parties to see that they would benefit from each other, and a massive agreement was concluded. This agreement will hook a very rich man while giving the Red Sox a legitimate n ° 1 starter at the top of their rotation in the predictable future.
