The Astros of Houston involved the police after vile death threats are intended for the children of the team launcher, launches McCullers Jr.
He came after the right -hander of Astros, a double winner of the World Series, granted seven points from a first round of 10 points against the Cincinnati Reds on Saturday evening – his second match in almost three years due to injuries.
McCullers, 31, and his wife Kara have two young girls together.
“I understand that people are very passionate and people love astros and love sports, but threatening to find my children and murdering them is a little difficult to manage,” said McCullers after the match, that his team lost 13-9.
“So, like a father, I think there have been a lot, a lot of threats over the years that have targeted me, especially, and I actually think that one or two people other problems around baseball should actually go to prison for things like that.
“But I think that bringing children into the equation, threatening to find them or the next time they will see us in public, they will stab my children to death, things like that, it’s difficult to hear as a father.”

Saturday evening’s match was the second in McCullers in almost three years after major injury problems
Joe Espada, the director of Astros, added: “There are people who threaten his life and the life of his children because of his performance.
“It is very unfortunate that we had to face it. After all, he did for this city, for his team, the fact that we have to talk about it in my office … I also have children, and it makes me really crazy that we have to face this. Very sad. Very, very sad.
McCullers only made his second departure for the astros since match 3 of the 2022 World Series.
A series of right -of -law problems has derailed his career since this night and his return to the team this year was considered a huge success.
“He hasn’t launched for 2 and a half years. We have to give time, okay? Said Espada.
“It cannot happen. I am really upset that it happened to athletes, and … you know, we do our best. Everyone is doing our best. But the fact that I have to go to my office and face this? Come on. We are better than that.
