Copa America: Mexico vs Jamaica, Copa America latest updates: Final score and highlights

THE Copa America 2024 rages this Saturday with the start of Group B action. After Argentina beat Canada Thursday evening, Peru and Chile followed by a scoreless draw on Friday.

Saturday evening we will see Mexico take charge Jamaica just after Ecuador-Venezuela. Mexico is not the favorite in this tournament, but there is always pressure to perform well for El Tri. The Reggae Boyz will look to create a surprise.

Mexico-Jamaica will be played at NRG Stadium in Houston and should start at 9:00 p.m. ET / 6:00 p.m. PT. It will be displayed on FS1, Univision and TUDN.

Mexico participated in the Copa America a total of 10 times in the past. They were very successful overall, having completed runner-up twice and third three other times. But since 2007, they have not progressed past the quarterfinals in the three tournaments they have participated in.

Jamaica have only participated in two editions of the Copa America, in 2015 and 2016. They did not come out of the group in either year. In fact, they are I have yet to score a single goal and win a single point through six Copa America matches in its history.

This Jamaican team has been performing well lately, so this could be their opportunity to finally break through in the tournament. As for Mexico, expectations are high as always, although in recent years they have become accustomed to disappointing in these types of international tournaments.
