WHAT HAPPENED: Gators starter Liam Peterson could not get out of the second round while the East Carolina has shone the second right -hander for five strokes and four points (two deserved) on 1 1/3 of sleeves. It was the start of a long day on the mound for the Gators, which used seven launchers in their defeat to open the NCAA tournament.
