Conor McGregor sends messages to Jake Gyllenhaal and Amazon as Road House 2 is confirmed

Conor McGregor is excited to hear there will be another Road House movie.

The former UFC double-weight champion received rave reviews after making his acting debut in Amazon Prime’s reimaging of the cult classic 1989 film.

“Notorious” stole the show as Knox, a mercenary sent to kill Jake Gyllenhaal’s former UFC fighting persona, Elwood Dalton, who had found himself working as a bouncer at a bar targeted by criminals.

The film has racked up a record 80 million streams since its March 21 release, so it’s no surprise that Amazon announced a sequel is in the works.

On Tuesday, it was confirmed that Road House 2 had gotten the green light.

“Congratulations guys, I wish you luck,” McGregor wrote on his Instagram Story before sharing footage from his first acting gig.

McGregor’s character somehow survived an almighty fight at the end of the film and may return to end his rivalry in the second film.

The Guinness Book of World Records recognized Dwyane ‘The Rock’ Johnson as the highest-paid actor of all time when he earned $5.5 million (£4.36 million) for appearing in The Mummy Returns in 2001..

However, McGregor claims he earned more than that for his first film and would almost certainly earn more for his second acting job.

Unfortunately for Knox fans, he’s currently focused on making money from fighting for real.

“I haven’t had any conversations with anyone,” McGregor told talkSPORT MMA last month.

Joe Rogan tells Conor McGregor to ‘shut up’ after MMA fighter makes bold statement about UFC

“I know there are probably discussions going on but I’m not aware of it and I don’t want to hear it. For me it’s no, there are no more films of mine. “

McGregor is set to return to MMA after a three-year layoff on June 29.

The 35-year-old will face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in Las Vegas.

A victory would put the Irishman in contention for a shot at multiple UFC titles, including the BMF belt recently acquired by Max Holloway when he brutally knocked out Justin Gaethje.

Losing will likely end his career fighting world-class MMA stars.

McGregor could choose to continue against lower-level opposition, or he could decide the time is right to pursue an acting career full-time.
