Conor McGregor next fight: Notorious finally has UFC return date confirmed as Dana White announces Michael Chandler bout
The saga surrounding Conor McGregor’s return to the UFC is over.
It’s been more than two and a half years since the superstar broke his leg during his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier, the last time he set foot in the Octagon.
However, “Notorious” is now in great shape and is pursuing a fight with former three-time Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler.
McGregor and Chandler went back and forth while the fight was in the works.
This is due to numerous ongoing issues with the UFC, USADA, Dana White and many others, but the fight has now been confirmed.

Conor McGregor’s next fight: what was said?
Chandler had already started trash talking before this highly anticipated clash with McGregor.
Speaking late last year, he said: “I always said I want you to be at your best, your best and your best. 185 would suit me.
“Remember who was a natural featherweight who started his UFC career fighting hand-picked bantamweights.”
And in an interview with talkSPORT.com, Chandler revealed his plan to knock out McGregor in two rounds.
He said: “We eliminate Conor in two (rounds).
“You give me a year to prepare for a guy like Conor McGregor, I’ll be a different animal every time I go out there and compete with him.
“I’ve watched the tapes, watched the practice footage and we have a nice little game plan that we’re putting together in Florida.”
