McGregor is scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

As the days tick down to the much-anticipated fight, event officials have scheduled a 5 p.m. press conference at Dublin’s 3Arena, but on Monday morning the UFC confirmed the press conference had been postponed.

After hours of speculation that McGregor might pull out of the fight, he has since revealed that forces beyond his control led to the press conference being suspended.

He wrote on social media: “In consultation with the UFC, today’s press conference has been canceled due to a series of obstacles beyond our control.

The 35-year-old is set to headline UFC 303 in his comeback to the sport as the sports body’s president Dana White dismissed videos of him partying on social media .

“I don’t know what’s real on the Internet and what’s not,” he said.
