ROCHESTER, NY — At 4:46 p.m. Sunday, Rochester Police officers were talking to a large group of reckless motorcyclists on 4-wheelers, dirt bikes and mopeds in the street and parking lot of 1584 E. Main St.
Police say a motorcyclist intentionally hit a police officer with a 4-wheeler, making others even more reckless. Additional officers from other sections as well as the New York State Police came to assist.
Four Rochester police officers were injured at the scene and are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Two suspects were taken into custody and a handgun was found on one of them. Several dirt bikes and mopeds were towed for violations.
