The star of Indian athletics Neeraj Chopra will launch its 2025 campaign today (May 16, Friday) at Qatar Sports Club in Doha. The old Olympic gold medalist will participate in the Diamond League’s leg of the solid ground.
The Doha Diamond League, however, will not include the Olympic champion prevailing Arshad Nadeem from Pakistan. It also means that there will be no Neeraj chopra vs arshad nadeem spectacle at the Doha Diamond League.

Neeraj was asked about his friendship with Arshad at the press conference before the event and the double Olympic medalist said that the equation will change after the last Indian-Pakistani conflict after the Pahalgam terrorist attack.
“First, we have never been very close friends or anything. And things will not be the same after that (India-Pakistan Conflict). But, if someone speaks to me respectfully, I will make respect,” said Chopra.
