Companies with government contracts hope to dodge DOGE disturbances

• The White House office makes rapid cuts to the federal government.

Trump’s White House Dogement – and the speed at which it makes cuts to the federal government – is uncertain among the managers of the company representing dozens of industries, from software to the defense sector.

Alphasense data, a market intelligence platform, have shown that in interviews and profits since President Donald Trump’s electoral victory in November, managers of more than 130 companies of 30 industries had to wonder if the DOGE Office will have an impact on their business.

The question arises while the DOGE Office targets public -private contracts that the Trump administration has deemed useless – even if some of these agreements have already been obliged – in the context of its crusade against federal spending. The Doge Office did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Business Insider.

Joseph Jordan, former interim administrator for the Federal Policy Office on the supply and CEO of Acttuparo, who consults Small and large companies with federal contract accessions have told Business Insider that “very few companies have no federal exposure or no opportunity for federal contractors”, adding that certain industries such as the professional services sector depend more on revenues from federal contracts than others.

“The government buys everything,” said Jordan, “and as part of this, the purchase is around $ 800 billion a year when you combine goods and services.”

Some business leaders have said that they had not yet seen the effects of the Doge Office cuts but were preparing for a period of uncertainty.

Workday CEO Carl Eschenbach, said at the Morgan Stanley Technology, Media and Telecom conference On Tuesday, he was encouraged by the interest of the Doge Office to update the software system of the federal government, but added that he did not know when his business will see the advantages.

“I hope that over time, DOGE can potentially become a rear wind for companies like us who focus on the federal government,” he said. “But right now, there is a lot of uncertainty, and I don’t know what it will do to give a tip.”

Connor Spielmaker, Workday spokesperson, BI said in a press release that the company “has been working with customers at the federal level for several years while they modernize the aging technological infrastructure”.

However, other heads of management believe that their companies could benefit directly from the Doge initiative and welcome the general philosophy of efficiency of the new Board of the White House.

While the Trump administration requires a return mandate to the office even actively cancels office leases, Darrell Crate, CEO of the East of the Government, which manages commercial real estate rented to federal agencies, during a profits call on February 25, the agency that oversees government offices.

“We say that we are unique because we are. What we do is a mission critic,” a government spokesman for the east told BI. “We do not have real estate in Washington, DC, and around 95% of our portfolio is ultimately,” referring to leases that cannot be terminated without reason.

The CEO of Palantir, Alex Karp, described the efforts of the Trump administration during the call as a “disturbance” and that “everything that is good for America will be good for the Americans and very good for Palantant”.

“We love the disturbances, and everything that is good for America will be good for Americans and very good for Palantir,” said Karp.

However, three weeks after calling the profits, the Palantant stock dropped by 25% after the defense secretary Pete Hegseth announced his intention to reduce the budget of the Defense Ministry by 8% or 50 billion dollars.

A spokesperson for Palantir did not respond to a request for BI comments.

Uncertainty and prepare to be “doge’d”

Jordan, the director ex-infpp, said that some companies feared that the Doge Office cuts suddenly target their agreements with the federal government.

“What I have advised for companies to do is go through all their contracts for one of the keywords against which the Trump administration has managed,” said Jordan, highlighting the targeting by the administration of the DEI programs as an example.

In addition to understanding their rights, Jordan has added that companies must also re -examine the price of their services, wonder if the said services are essential to the respective federal agency and remain aware if the staff of a private agency has been affected by the discounts pursued by the Doge Office.

“These are the kinds of things you don’t want to start thinking about the minute you receive this random email from a government agency saying that your contract has been offset,” said Jordan.
