A record crowd of 37,865 was at the Optus stadium on Saturday to see the natives all the stars break Fremantle of 43 points – 16.12 (108) to 9.11 (65).
The crowd overshadowed the previous record of 17,500 at the Darwin Tio stadium in 2003 when the All Stars broke Carlton with 73 points.
After the match, Ryan could be seen by thanking those who came to the match, when a young woman was overwhelmed with emotion and melted in tears.
Ryan quickly jumped in the stands to hug the fan while she wiped tears of her face.

The last time that the native match All Stars took place in 2015, a closed window crowds of 10,000 was present at Leederville Oval in Perth while the Eagles won an eight -point victory.
The only time the match was organized in a major stadium – at the MCG in 1985 – less than 6000 fans arose for the match.
But the best Aboriginal players made themselves available for Saturday’s match against Fremantle, and the fact that he was organized in a major stadium after a break of a decade also helped to attract a huge crowd.
