Comcast offers Peacock, Netflix and Apple TV+ streaming package for $15 per month

(Reuters) – Comcast’s new streaming plan, bundling its Peacock service with Netflix and Apple TV+, will cost $15 a month for all Xfinity Internet and TV customers, the media and broadband company said on Tuesday.

The new plan, StreamSaver, is a “companion to broadband” and offers savings of more than 30% to customers, Comcast Cable CEO David Watson said at the JP Morgan Technology, Media and Technology Conference. communications.

Customers can also bundle StreamSaver with Comcast’s new “NOW TV” offering, which includes more than 40 streaming channels, for $30 per month.

Streaming platforms offer bundled services at a discounted rate amid concerns of market saturation and to attract customers who are reluctant to sign up and pay for many individual services.

“StreamSaver is an ideal solution for consumers who want premium entertainment and live sports,” Watson said in a statement.

Comcast said the service will roll out May 29 to Xfinity customers in the United States and will include a subscription to the standard Netflix package with ads, Peacock Premium and Apple TV+.

The partnership is the latest among streaming companies following a similar partnership announced on May 8 between Warner Bros. Discovery and Walt Disney to offer a bundle of Disney+, Hulu and Max streaming services.
