Columbus, Ohio (WSYX) – Twenty-seven dogs are on the way to recovery after being saved from a hoarding situation in the region of the Columbus summit.
Recovering Rico Pet helps dogs receive the necessary treatment and vaccines. Columbus Humane is also involved.
According to Rico Pet Recovery, one of the dogs has a missing eye. Most of them have ear and skin infections, a variety of intestinal parasites, dental needs, tangled hair covered with urine and excrement and long nails.
Rico Pet Recovery volunteers saved animals in house groups over several hours. While some dogs have already found new houses, others will soon be available for adoption.
