Columbia grad’s mic cut off during anti-Israel rant

A Columbia University student’s microphone appears to have been cut off just moments after she began delivering an anti-Israel commencement speech.

Saham David Ahmed Ali burst into the Ivy League school as she delivered the class speech at the Mailman School of Public Health’s commencement ceremony Tuesday.

The video shows the moment the student’s microphone suddenly started having problems while she was in the process of breaking Columbia’s silence on the ongoing war in Gaza.

The microphone cut out several times over the next few seconds, prompting onlookers to chant “let her speak.”

It was not immediately clear whether the microphone had been intentionally cut off.
