Colombian President Minouche Shafik Admits Negotiations With Anti-Israel Protesters Failed
Columbia University President Minouche Shafik admitted Monday that negotiations with anti-Israel protesters had failed — and she warned that the Ivy League school was now exploring other options to “end to this crisis as soon as possible.
Shafik said university leaders have been engaging with student protesters since last week in an effort to dismantle the tent encampment.
“Unfortunately, we were unable to reach an agreement,” the president said in a statement.
