Collin Morikawa makes another change of shopping cart.
After only five tournaments, Morikawa and Looper Joe Greiner separated. Korn Ferry Tour player KK Limbhasut, the former teammate of the Collège de Morikawa in Cal, will make a starting point on the bag for the Rocket Classic of this week at the Golf Club Strait, while Morikawa begins the search for another permanent option.
The news was reported for the first time by Golfweek and confirmed by Morikawa during the Wednesday presser in Detroit.
“When I separated from JJ Jakovac, I had it except for a tournament all my career and you get used to it,” said Morikawa. “JJ is an incredible shopping cart and I wish him all the best. So when I leave that, it is a process that I find because I only know in a sense. I think people, they will be surprised, but the way I put it is simply because two people are great in what they do does not mean that they will be great together.
“I think Joe is an incredible shopping cart, but I think the way we have somehow seen things or just daily how we have somehow went, we were just a little on a different page. It does not mean it’s good or bad, but for me it didn’t seem well.”
Morikawa hired Greiner after separating from Jakovac after the RBC heritage at the end of April. Greiner, which was Max Homa’s long -standing shopping shopping, worked for some tournaments to fill the regular caddy of Justin Thomas, the Minister of Matt, including Harbor Town, where Thomas won. With Greiner like Caddy, Morikawa won three top-25s, although nothing better than the T-17, in the Truist championship, their first event together.
Limbhasut has made nine departures on the KFT this season and ranks n ° 159 on the list of points on the tour.
Morikawa does not know who will be in her bag after this week.
“This is a process that I cross,” added Morikawa. “I hope we will discover when the time comes, and I will let everyone know.”
