Cole Palmer outdoing Jude Bellingham and Erling Haaland in key area after Chelsea heroics

Cole Palmer now has more goal contributions than Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Real Madrid’s Jude Bellingham.

The Chelsea striker scored his first hat-trick in his side’s dramatic 4-3 win over Manchester United, with his winner in the 11th minute of stoppage time being the last goal in Premier League history.

But those feats aren’t the only takeaways from Palmer’s performance.

The 21-year-old now has the most goals scored by players under the age of 23 in Europe’s top five leagues, with 24 in total.

Meanwhile, Man City’s talismanic striker Haaland has 23.

Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka ranks third with 21, tied with Haaland’s teammate Foden who also scored a hat-trick this week against Aston Villa.

England and Real Madrid superstar Bellingham also scored 21 goals in his debut season in La Liga.

Palmer couldn’t quite believe he had scored twice in stoppage time to snatch victory for his team.

When asked what just happened on TNT Sports, he replied: “I don’t know. 2-0, but we made some stupid mistakes, but when we saw eight minutes it gave us a left, and it was madness.” .

“Winning like this is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced.

“To score at the last minute is crazy.”

Chelsea will hope Palmer can once again propel them to victory against Sheffield United this Sunday.

Signing him from Man City on deadline day last summer for £42.5million is now proving to be a bargain.
