Cincinnati (WKRC) – The FDA has published a reminder for a brand of coffee land to potentially contain an involuntary ingredient, which, according to the organization, could lead to “negative health consequences”.
The Food and Drug Administration published a reminder on March 13 after the coffee manufacturer voluntarily informed the ministry that part of the coffee, which was labeled decaffeinated, may have been poorly labeled and contains caffeine.
The specific coffee affected: Coffee against roasters Our family crosses City City Cherry Artificially flavored Café with light roast grounded, 12 oz., UPC: 070253110801, Best by: 08/03/2025.
The recall was classified as class II by the FDA, which means “a situation in which the use or exposure to a violating product can cause temporary negative negative consequences or medically reversible or when the probability of serious harmful consequences on health is distant”.
The product was distributed to 15 states, including Ohio.
No press release was issued for the recall, but customers are generally advised to throw away the products recalled or return them to the place of purchase for a refund.
