CNN abruptly cut Donald Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt off the air on June 24 — just days before the network was set to host the first presidential debate between her boss and President Joe Biden.
Anchor Kasie Hunt ended the interview after Leavitt noted that the debate phase would likely be a “hostile environment” for Trump — and blamed CNN debate moderators, co-hosts Jake Tapper and Dana Bash , for having covered his coverage in a biased manner in the past.
