Cm baghel files for the appointment of Patan – Firstpost

The chief minister of Chhattisgarh, Bhupeh Baghel, filed on Monday the appointment of his traditional siege Patan in the Durg district for the polls of the assembly scheduled for next month and expressed his confidence that the Congress will retain power in the State.

Before going to the appointment, Baghel shared his photos on social networks in which his wife is seen applying “Tilak” on his front at their residence in Bhilai.

“I always remember the day I went to the appointment of files for the first time. Today, I started from my Bhilai residence to submit an appointment as a candidate of Patan. My wife Muktehwari applied Tilak as every time. Your love is my strength. For self -compliance with the chhattisgarhiya, I promise to remain devoted by using you all, said the CM in its article on social networks.

Patan, a rural district, shares the border with the capital of the Raipur state.

Baghel was elected five times from the headquarters – in 1993, 1998, 2003, 2013 and 2018.

In 2008, he lost the assembly poll to Vijay Baghel du BJP, which is also his nephew.

The BJP of the opposition in the State aligned Vijay Baghel, who is currently a member of Lok Sabha de Durg, in this seat of the Assembly.

The CM and the BJP candidate belong to Kurmi – an influential obc community in the state, which has a large population in the constituency.
