Clint Eastwood’s son gives update on actor months after heartbreaking news

Clint Eastwood is now 94 years old and he’s no longer in the public eye in the same way he once was.

I can’t blame him for that.

But Eastwood made a bit of headlines last July when his girlfriend, Christina Sandera, died of a heart attack at age 61. The two had been together for 10 years.

“Christina was a lovely and caring woman, and I will miss her dearly,” Eastwood said in a statement at the time.

People haven’t heard much about the legendary actor since, but his son, Scott, gave to PEOPLE magazine and update on him this week.

“He’s fine,” the 38-year-old said. “He’s a survivor, a soldier.”

PEOPLE asked Scott what he’s learned about Clint’s resilience over the years.

“It’s in our blood,” he says. “You’re not complaining. You’re not complaining. Do it.

PEOPLE said Scott noted that Clint “was born in the wake of the Great Depression, and then he was young during World War II.”

“He saw a lot of hardship,” Scott said. “There is no room for complaints.”

And that’s exactly what Eastwood fans would expect from him.

Eastwood, 94, and Sandera allegedly met while she was working as a hostess at the Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Eastwood. Hollywood Reporter reported they started dating in 2014.

The site says Eastwood has been married twice before and has also had a handful of other long relationships.
