CLEVELAND – An indoor bike park located inside a warehouse is sure to keep your wheels turning during the winter months.
Ray’s indoor mountain bike park is stocked with bike ramps for riders to take advantage of when conditions aren’t feasible outdoors.
Nina Buitago, a rider who has worked at Ray’s for years, has pushed the boundaries of freestyle. Plus, she praises Ray’s for what it has to offer.
“Honestly, there are very few places in the world like Ohio where you can build something like this,” Buitrago said.
The goal is to make the exterior paths as realistic as possible. General manager Paul Radosevich uses the summer months to improve the warehouse.
“We reused like telephone poles, random logs, big gigantic boulders,” Radosevich said. “This place is like, it’s huge. No other city has anything like this scale.”
However, for Buitago, it fosters a community like no other.
“The community is awesome,” she said. “Ray’s is like a world famous place. Like I’ve met people from overseas who have passed through here.”
It doesn’t take much to get in on the action, says Radosevitch.
“As long as you can ride a two-wheeler, you can have fun in this building,” he said.
