Berea, Ohio – The Browns of Cleveland and the Haslam Sports Group (HSG) are delighted to welcome the enthronement of the renowned professional football temple, the Super Bowl and Charles Woodson champion, the Ohio native as a limited partner of the property group for the Cleveland Browns. Und controlling minority interests were approved during the National Football League spring meetings (NFL) in Eagan, Minnesota, which is the first time a minority owner has been added to the organization since Haslam owners have become owners in 2012.
With the addition of Woodson to the property group, it will immediately become an asset for the entire Browns organization and the National Football League. In recent years, the NFL has continued to encourage diversity to the ownership of the NFL. In support of NFL’s efforts, Derrick Heggans of Shepherd Park Sports Properties facilitated the introduction between Woodson and the Haslam family with a lunch at the beginning of 2024, which finally led to partnership.
“Charles has left an incredible heritage on the field, forever being one of the greatest college players and the NFL of all time, but the work he continued to do out of the field and his business spirit stressed what is suitable for our organization,” said Cleveland Browns Manager and the main partners Dee and Jimmy. “As he is from Ohio, we are so delighted to have Charles on board as a limited partner of the Browns of Cleveland because he knows how much football means this community. We know that he will help shape the future of the club by its insight and its leadership and we are impatient to have it within the framework of our ownership group.”
“Growing up in Fremont, Ohio, it was a dream come true to play in the National Football League. In my wildest childhood dreams, I never considered the opportunity to become a limited partner of an NFL team, not to mention the Browns of Cleveland in my original Ohio state. Woodson.” During the last year, I liked the Leaders The opportunity to be part of the brilliant future of this team and to help be a resource for the entire organization as well as the NFL. I would like to thank Dee and Jimmy Haslam for having offered me this incredible opportunity and Derrick Heggans for having presented this rare opportunity and facilitates the process. “
