Claire Danes officially co-signed Zac Posen’s new mandate as executive vice-president and creative director of Gap Inc with an evening outfit with courtesy by The American Designer. Going out at the New York City Ballet spring gala with her longtime husband, Hugh Dancy, the actress wore a crisp cotton studio bodysuits under an indigo denim skirt.
“It is such a joy to dress Claire tonight – it’s an incredible talent, a close friend and someone with whom I shared so many history,” said Posen in a press release from the brand. “It’s a moment at full speed – I saw Claire go up in Gap.”

The Danes look embodied the type of classic Americaa style for which Gap has been known since its foundation in 1969. The set is part of the next 03 collection of Gap Studio, which should be launched this fall. Dancy, for its part, wore a simple black tuxedo.

The Danes and Dancy have been married since 2009 and share three children together. The long -standing couple met for the first time on the set of EveningWhere they played the interests of fictitious love Ann Grant and Buddy Wittenborn.

As for his collaboration with Gap Inc.? Danes and posen go up well. He designed his dress Met Gala in 2016, which made the headlines for his aesthetic coded by Cinderella and the fact that he literally turned on, thanks to 30 mini-batteries woven in the fabric.

In retrospect, it was the perfect answer to this year theme, “Manus X Machina: Fashion in the era of technology”. Posen later explained his method in a press release. “I crossed a sequence of stages throughout the drapage process of this dress, playing with movement and structure to capture emotional engineering,” said the designer. “The dress is hollow below without tulle – with regard to its own structure.”
