Vanity Fair published an explosive story about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry yesterday, including allegations that the Duchess of Sussex’s team had a “conversation” with a publishing house about a potential book about “the ‘post-divorce’.
To quote the outlet:
“Not a general book about life after marital dissolution, nor about Meghan’s past experience. (She was married to producer Trevor Engelson from 2011 to 2014.) This book – this notion of a book, in fact – could focus on a postHarry divorce. Not that there is actually one in the works! Just… if this a priori divorce were to take place, would this publisher theoretically be interested in a book that would have taken place in the aftermath? »
To be clear, another source told the outlet that “if this was true to some extent, she would have been approached and not the other way around” and Vanity Fair confirmed that “no offer was ever made and no manuscript was produced”, since there was no divorce. (Oh, and other sources have pointed out how happy and in love Meghan and Harry are!)
So, what do the Sussexes think of this divorce story? An old friend of Prince Harry tells Daily Beast “THE Vanity Fair the divorce story seemed very unfair. There was a book but there was no book, she was planning her life after divorce, but they are totally in love. What? There wasn’t a shred of evidence. »
They added: “Things are not easy for them at the moment. Vanity Fair We managed to make a bad period worse.
