CJ Stroud apparently rejects Desmond Howard at 2022 Heisman Trophy ceremony

The Desmond Howard and CJ Stroud feud continued in the eyes of many college football fans on Saturday night.

After Howard’s roast in 2021, Stroud apparently wanted nothing to do with the former Michigan wide receiver and Heisman Trophy winner.

At the Heisman Trophy ceremony, as Stroud was billed as the only returning finalist from the previous season, he took the stage, shaking hands with the first two former winners on stage before walking right past Howard.

In 2021, before Stroud finished fourth in the Heisman race behind Alabama QB Bryce Young, Michigan DE Aidan Hutchinson and Pittsburgh QB Kenny Pickett, Howard mocked the Ohio State quarterback.

After Hutchinson was asked his senior season goals were to beat Ohio State and win the Big Ten championship, former Florida quarterback Tim Tebow cracked a joke.

“Kenny, I’m glad you’re between them,” Tebow told runner-up Kenny Pickett, who stood between Hutchinson and Stroud. “Please stay there.”

“Better than his offensive linemen,” Howard said.

Howard’s apparent dismissal by Stroud before finishing third in the 2022 Heisman Trophy caught the attention of the college football world.
