As a person who grew up in Singapore with a Thai mother and an Irish father, Travel has always been a large part of my life.
To visit parents from around the world to explore new family places, my favorite memories always involve tackling a new city.
I have had the chance to visit 38 countries so far, and when people are asking for my travel recommendations, these three cities always exceed my list.
There is so much to love in Dubrovnik, Croatie
I recommend exploring Fort Lovrijenac to Dubrovnik, Croatia. Veena McOole
Dubrovnik, Croatia, has everything I seek in a European summer destination: fascinating history, traditional restaurants and bars and rocky beaches in isolated coves.
Surrounded by the sparkling blue Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik feels majestic but picturesque: visitors can easily pass their bearings in the city in a day or two.
I recommend exploring the History Fort Lovrijenac, a secular fortress that has also been used as a filming location for “Game of Thrones”.
A city lap of the city is also a must for the most incredible panoramic views of the sea.
Bergen, Norway, is perfect for outdoor adventures

Located in southwest Norway, Bergen is a charming city with museums and colored wooden houses on the old quay. I really liked to stop on the fish market near the seafront for fresh sushi.
Make sure you also devote a day to taking funicular or cable train, at the top of Mont Fløyen for a difficult hike with a breathtaking view.
The real treat to visit, however, is an opportunity to make an excursion of a day in the fjords and beyond. I traveled to Flåm, Norway, where I got on a boat in Nærøyfjord, one of the narrowest fjords in the world.
There is something for everyone in Singapore

I have perhaps partial since I grew up in this Asian city-state, but I consider that Singapore is an essential destination for all travelers.
Growing up here, I did not appreciate what he had to offer, but now I take advantage of each trip home to see my parents.
For example, I love to explore outdoor catering areas called Hawker Centers and check the new bars and local cafes. I also like to explore the superb botanical gardens of Singapore, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
If you are looking to sweat, I recommend that you climb Fort Canning Hill. Once at the top, stop to explore a historic Bunker from the Second World War called Battlebox.
Whether you are a story passionate or a gourmet, there is really something for everyone in Singapore.
