Cipla | A pharmaceutical major is expected to seal a block deal worth ₹2,637 crore on Wednesday (May 15), with the promoter family (which includes Shirin Hamied, Samina Hamied and Rumana Hamied) and Okasa Pharma selling up to 2.53%. shares of the company via a block agreement, according to sources.
Bharti Airtel | The telecom operator reported a 31% year-on-year decline in net profit at ₹2,071.6 crore for the fourth quarter. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹3,006 crore. The CNBC-TV18 poll predicted a profit of ₹2,050 crore for the quarter under review.
Siemens | The electronics and electrical engineering company reported a net profit of ₹802.5 crore in the January-March quarter, a significant increase of over 70% from ₹471.4 crore in the same quarter from last year. A CNBC-TV18 poll estimated the net profit at ₹571 crore.
Oberoi Real Estate | The company reported a 64% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹788 crore for the fourth quarter. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹480.3 crore. The company’s turnover increased by 36.8 per cent to ₹1,314.8 crore as compared to ₹961.4 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Shree Cement | The company reported a 21% year-on-year increase in profit after tax at ₹662 crore for the quarter ended March 2024. Operating revenue for the fourth quarter increased by 7% on a year to reach ₹5,101 crore. The cement maker’s annual turnover grew 16 per cent to ₹19,586 crore.
Colgate Palmolive | The leading oral care products maker reported a 20.1 per cent increase in its net profit year-on-year at ₹379.8 crore for the fourth quarter. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹316.2 crore. The CNBC-TV18 poll had predicted a profit of ₹365 crore for the quarter under review.
Apollo Tires | The tire giant reported a 13.7 per cent decline in its net profit year-on-year to ₹354 crore for the fourth quarter. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹410.3 crore. The company’s turnover increased by 0.2 per cent to ₹6,258 crore as against ₹6,247.3 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Bharti Hexacom | The company reported an over 10% year-on-year rise in net profit for the March quarter at ₹223 crore, driven by strong customer additions and an increase in ARPU in mobile services. Total revenue for the March quarter stood at ₹1,868 crore, up 7.8% from the corresponding period a year earlier.
Patanjali Foods | The company reported a 21.8% year-on-year decline in net profit to ₹206.3 crore for the fourth quarter. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹263.7 crore. The company’s operating revenue increased 4.4 per cent to ₹8,221.7 crore from ₹7,873 crore in the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Edelweiss Financial Services | A diversified financial group recorded a 13.3% year-on-year increase in net profit at ₹169.1 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024. In the corresponding quarter, it recorded a net profit of ₹149.3 crore, the company said in a regulatory filing.
