Ciotti criticizes Pécresse for not wanting to take up his proposals

While Valérie Pécresse announced that she would not resume some of her flagship measures, such as the national priority for employment, Eric Ciotti estimated that the president of the Ile-de-France Region was not sending “a good message”.

“The message that was launched yesterday [par Valérie Pécresse] was not a good message ”, a scolded Eric Ciotti on December 5 in the morning during a press point, in reference to the media intervention of Valérie Pécresse on TF1’s news the day before. Indeed, the presidential candidate, victorious in the mini-primary of the Les Républicains (LR) party on December 4, was questioned about the resumption of proposals from her second-round opponent such as “French Guantanamo” or “la national priority for employment ”.

She then replied that “no”, she would “not keep these proposals”. “It’s my project that was chosen by the activists, it’s my line […] which can bring people together, ”added the president of the Ile-de-France Region. On Islamism, she notably affirmed that she also had “a very firm position and very firm order measures”.

A word that despite everything did not satisfy the member of the Alpes-Maritimes. “I think that today we must found a program of unity, of gathering and the message which was sent last night surprised, astonished many people who support me”, he underlined.

When asked whether he reserved the right not to be part of his rival’s campaign if the ideas did not suit him, he replied: “We will talk about it tomorrow with Valérie Pécresse.” I support it but I intend that my ideas be represented with force, the ideas of a right which intends to be respected. ”

Valérie Pécresse will indeed travel to the Alpes-Maritimes on December 6, having lunch with Eric Ciotti in Nice. This one has just created a movement within the LR “On the right”, assuring : “I will not betray you, what we have built is powerful, I will continue to carry your voice.”
