A man from the County of San Diego was involved in an accident in the Fresno-who region who diedly injured a woman riding in his car during the weekend of the presidents, the authorities reported on Tuesday.
The man of Chula Vista was behind the wheel of a 2019 Honda Agreement in southern direction which left the Interstate 5 in the south of Route 41 of the State for unknown reasons and plunged into the California aqueduct shortly before 1 in the morning on Sunday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver was able to get out of the vehicle and swim to the edge of the canal, but his 24 -year -old passenger stayed inside as he filled with water and sank, the CHP reported.
The emergency teams, including a team of divers, finally recovered the woman’s body, whose name was retained while waiting for family notification.
The driver, who suffered minor injuries in the wreckage, refused medical assistance.
The poisoning was not considered a factor of the accident, according to the CHP.
