Even a deficit of seven points cannot prevent milwaukee brewers. Friday evening, the Brewers erased an 8-1 deficit against the Cincinnati Reds at the Great American Ball Park (10 mil, CIN 8) to win their 13th consecutive victory. The stretch of 13 games binds the longest sequence of a season in a single season in the history of the franchise and is the second longer in the history of the Brewers as a whole.
The return started seriously when Andrew Vaughn, which has been a revelation in recent weeksexperienced a three -point circuit to bring Brewers to less than three points in the third round. The hero offensively, however, was Christian Yelich. He went 4 for 5 with a double and two circuits, including the explosion of the green light in the sixth round. He dropped a triple from his fourth career cycle – the previous three came against the Reds.
Better yet, Yelich spent his big evening with a Bob Uecker bat on the weekend of players. The bat was initially designed for players last year last year, although Yelich was released with a back injury. Uecker died at 90 in January.
“What a good life. A big life, 90 years old. We should all be so lucky,” said Yelich before Friday’s match (via mlb.com). “… you remember the stories he would tell. This is what you will really miss because no one else can tell stories like that. But what life, right?”
The Milwaukee offensive picked up the recruit feeling Jacob Miriorowski, who granted five 1/3 1/3 points of sleeves during his first departure compared to a contusion of left tibia. He launched 54 throws. Lefty DL Hall was accused of three points in 2 2/3 rounds in relief from Misiorowski. After that, five raising brewers combined to withdraw the last 23 Reds strikers.
The sequence of 13 consecutive victories linked the 1987 team for the longest in a single season in the history of the Brewers. This 1987 team won its first 13 games of the season. Add the last three games of 1986, and the team record is a sequence of 16 consecutive victories in 1986-1987. The 13 Gamer binds the Minnesota Twins for the longest sequence of baseball victories this year.
The return to seven points is the biggest of Brewers since September 22, when they transformed a deficit of 8-0 into a 10-9 victory against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The biggest return in the history of the franchise is nine points against the Astros of Houston on May 22, 2000.
Friday’s victory improved the Brewers in a better MLB 77-44. They won 28 of their last 32 games. The Reds, on the other hand, fell to 64-59. They are half a game behind Joker’s third point.
