Chris Pratt ‘devastated’ by news of voice actor Tony McFarr’s death

Chris Pratt took to Instagram to pay tribute to his former stunt double, Tony McFarr, who died Monday at age 47 in Orlando, Florida.

The actor said he was “devastated to learn of the loss of my friend and former stunt double. We have made several films together. We played golf, drank whiskey, smoked cigars and spent endless hours on set. I will never forget his tenacity.

Pratt recalled one such instance on set.

“I remember he got a nasty shot in the head (in the title sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and put several things in his mind – he immediately came back to work, ready to go again. He was an absolute stud. He has always been a gentleman and a professional.

“We will miss him,” Pratt added. “My prayers go out to his friends and family, especially his daughter.”

McFarr was Pratt’s double in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and two of Jurassic world movies. He also performed Pratt’s stunts in the 2016 drama. Passengers.
