Chris Johnson says Titans would be ‘absolute fools’ if they gave up on Travis Hunter in the draft

The Titans must recruit Hunter
… “We would be complete idiots” to let it go!!!

The Titans desperately need a quarterback, but Chris Johnson advises his former team to continue taking Travis Hunter in the spring NFL draft – revealing TMZ Sports Tennessee would be “absolutely stupid” to pass up the Heisman Trophy winner.

If the season ended today, the 3-13 Titans would have the No. 2 overall pick…and many experts think they should target a signal-caller like Shedeur Sanders Or Cam Room there – because their QB play has been terrible this year.

But Johnson thinks it would be a huge mistake to miss out on Hunter for one of the young arms… telling us he thinks Colorado’s two-way star could change everything for his ex-team.

“I think we would be complete idiots if we left out Travis,” he said.

One of the main reasons Johnson likes this decision is because he is a fan of Will Levis.

CJ2K says that even though the former second-round pick is just 5-15 as a starter and has just 20 passing touchdowns to 16 interceptions… he can be an effective leader at some time in the near future.

“I think Will is going to end up being a quarterback,” the former fullback said. “Sometimes it takes time. Look at some of these quarterbacks like Jordan Love and some of these other guys – they’ve had time to sit and learn. Like years to sit and learn. I’ve so the impression that he is going to enter his.”

Of course, the Titans might not even have a chance against Hunter or any of the top QBs — as a win against the Houston Texans later Sunday could drop them significantly down the order.

Then again, a loss could propel them into first place – which is where Johnson would love for them to take Travis.
