Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn went back and forth on social media on Sunday morning following the cancellation of Jake Paul vs. Hasim Rahman Jr.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer and the son of former heavyweight champion Hasim Rahman Sr were due to meet on August 6, but it has now been confirmed that the fight is on hold due to a weight dispute.
Meanwhile in the UK, Eubank Jr and Benn are locked in negotiations for a possible reunion on October 8.
However, that is yet to be signed or agreed upon, with both sides suggesting they have other options as well.
Following the cancellation of his fight, Jake tweeted: “First Tommy [Fury] Fumbled and now Hasim Rahman Crumbled.
“These boxers are the hardest people to work with and continually lack the professionalism and confidence to fight me.”
In a surprise twist, Eubank Jr replied, “Fumbles and Crumbles aren’t ‘boxers’, they’re guys who put on gloves once in a while to get some weight – no different than you.
“I fight in a few months, but I can fit you into my schedule next week and tape your show if you have the heart to get in the ring with a REAL boxer.”
At this point, Benn entered into the conversation.
He tweeted at Eubank Jr: “Why are you worried about fighting Jake? As far as I know, you lost your pen again? »
To which Eubank Jr replied: “Nothing about him worries me, believe me.
“And my pen is ready as soon as the contract on my side is correct, which is not the case at the moment.”
