Getty imagesAmerican singer Chris Brown has been accused of serious bodily lesions, explains the metropolitan police.
The force indicates that the accusation relates to an alleged assault, which would have taken place in a nightclub in center of London on February 19, 2023.
The 36 -year -old man was arrested in a Manchester hotel in the early hours of Thursday.
He remains in detention and should appear before the Manchester Court of First Instance on Friday.
“We authorized the metropolitan police to charge Chris Brown of a chief of serious bodily injury, unlike article 18 of the infractions against the person Act 1861,” said Adele Kelly, deputy chief of the Crown for CPS London North.
She added that “criminal procedures against this defendant are active” and “he has the right to a fair trial”.
The R&B singer is currently on tour and should play several shows across the United Kingdom in June and July.
